These industries became the backbone of Rosholt's economy during that era. However, the town saw a shift in its dynamics when the train service ceased operations in the mid-1950s.

The official Portage County Fair is held annually over Labor Day weekend at Rosholt Fair Park, a tradition dating back to the 1920s. The Labor Day Parade on Main Street begins at noon on Saturday, followed by a host of attractions including a demolition derby, carnival rides, and live music. Throughout the year, Rosholt Fair Park is a bustling venue hosting various events such as Easter egg hunts, car truck craft & vendor shows, Independence Day fireworks, pig roasts, truck & tractor pulls, and music festivals.
