Standing Rocks Park offers 524 acres of year-round outdoor activities, including disc golf, mountain biking, snowshoeing, downhill skiing, and cross-country skiing. The park also features a dog exercise area, which requires a daily fee or a season pass.
Lake Pacawa Park has recently updated its facilities, offering walking and biking trails, a playground, swing set, rocking animals, a water splash pad, a sandy beach, picnic tables, picnic shelters, restrooms, a soccer field, parking, a pavilion, and more. Additionally, the park hosts a weekly parkrun every Saturday at 9:00 am.
Plover is consistently recognized as one of Central Wisconsin's fastest-growing and developing communities, experiencing constant population growth. The village has been expanding, notably with the development of Crossroads Commons Commercial, which has attracted dozens of stores, restaurants, banks, and other businesses, offering a wide range of complementary goods.
Children in Plover attend either Roosevelt Elementary or Plover-Whiting Elementary. For junior high, they go to Ben Franklin Junior High, and high school students attend Stevens Point Area Senior High, commonly known as SPASH.
