Lake DuBay is a 6,700 acre lake. It is the fourteenth largest inland body of water in Wisconsin with a maximum depth of 30 feet and is situated in Portage and Marathon Counties. Visitors can access the lake via public boat landings and a public beach. Created in 1942 for hydroelectric generation and flood control, Lake DuBay has become a hub for recreational activities. It is located about 10 miles north of Stevens Point, 20 miles south of Wausau, and just west of Highway 51.
Lake DuBay is one of the area's premier fishing destinations, known for its diverse fish population and trophy potential. It offers excellent opportunities for catching Walleye, Muskellunge, Northern Pike, Black Crappie, Yellow Perch and Channel Catfish.
DuBay Park Campground is located on the West side of the lake and is open May 1-October 31. All sites are equipped with electrical hookups. DuBay Park itself is 51 acres and provides fishermen, boaters, water skiers, and swimmers access to a picnic area, picnic lodge, boat ramp, trailer dump station, playground equipment, swimming beach, baseball field and two shower buildings.
